I emailed when my A/C failed on me. The hottest day possible with terrible air quality. It was a Friday and they are closed Fridays and weekends. Excellent owner and mechanic. Gary thoroughly examined my clutch and transmission when the dealer misdiagnosed for worn-out pressure plate, master and slave cylinder. He recommended to replace the slave cylinder to get a better assessment of the problem instead a full-blown fix-all approach. At a fraction of the cost, he determined the problem is the 2nd party master cylinder that the dealer replaced and improper adjust on my car last year; so I took my car back to the dealer and get it repaired as under warranty.

I've been told that there are a host of mechanics in Burlingame that are less than honest with billing for repairs. I have never found that to be true, but I do know that I brought my V-W Beetle to Gary at Pacific Auto and he worked on it diligently and the charges were extremely fair. Burlingame Auto Repair is a true gem of a company when you need your car serviced or repaired. I have now been a customer for over five years with four different makes and models. Gary can fix anything and at a fair price. I also appreciate his honest opinion on what can wait till the next check up and what needs immediate attention. My oldest car is from 1998 and my newest one is 2013. Some are low tech and other have all the bells and whistles. Pacific Auto Care understands all of them and makes my busy life easier. Charged $300 to unplug a headlight kit. Gary took advantage of my situation (needing to drive at night for school) and billed exorbitantly. I would not recommend this service unless you want to be preyed upon and exploited.
